Carnival Cruise Lines
Carnival Mardi Gras' capacity will be 5500 passengers and the largest in the fleet when it debuts in November 2020. She will feature 6 zones, including the French Quarters, Summer Landing, Grand Central and the Ultimate Playground.
Mardi Gras will be based in Port Canaveral (Orlando) at a brand new cruise terminal. She will also be the first cruise line's ship to run on liquified natural gas, a form of fuel that produces almost zero emissions.
Highlights on-board will be:
- First Roller coaster at sea
- First suites-only enclave in the Carnival Fleet
- First Emeril Lagasse restaurant at sea
Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity Apex is the second of four new cruise ships that will debut under Celebrity's Edge Class - capacity 2900. She will launch in Spring of 2020 and will feature several innovations debuted by its sister. Among those first-at-sea features will be a moveable deck cantilevered off the side of the ship, cabins with infinite balconies designed to blend indoors and outdoors with bi-fold doors, and a Resort deck which will feature a large poll flanked by sculptural trees and two martini glass Jacuzzis that overlook the deck below.
Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines
Odyssey of the Seas will be Royal Caribbean's second Quantrum Ultra Class ship, which will be launched in November 2020. Unlike her sister ship, Spectrum of the Seas, Odyseey will sail from the US. It's inaugural sailing will commence on November 5, 2020.
MSC Cruises
MSC Virtuosa is the second ship in MSC Cruises' Meraviglia Plus Class and it is slated to be launched in September 2020, less than a year behind its sister ship, MSC Grandiosa. She will have a capacity of 6297.
She will feature the same Cirque Du Soleil performances, an indoor promenade with a digital sky ceiling, an indoor amusement park, an outdoor water park and the first contemporary fine art museum at sea. Passengers will also be able to access their cabins, book reservations and make purchases throughout the ship using a wristband technology. The ship will also be eco friendly, employing the largest scrubber technology in an effort to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
