Where to visit

Belize isn’t only a country rich in history but also culture and a trip to the Dangriga and Hopkins Village allows you to experience the ways of the Garifuna people, descendants of the Arawak and Carib people. Known as Belize’s cultural capital, this area is the birthplace of the famous Punta-Rock music genre. The Ambergris Caye is another must see in Belize. Although not connected to the mainland this beautiful island is still a part of the Belize District and offers many activities like fishing, scuba diving and views of nature’s splendour.
Cuisine
Belize offers an extensive array of dishes at its many restaurants; which stem from various cultural influences. Rice and Beans with a side of pork, lobster or game meat is popular amongst the locals. The meat is cooked with recado, a local spice made from the annatto seed. The Belize fruit cake with its fusion of rum and preserved fruits is the dessert of choice amongst Belizean people.
