Salzburg
Salzburg is the fourth largest city in Austria. It is the birthplace of Mozart as well as the setting for parts of the musical ‘The Sound of Music’. Getting Around
Although you can easily explore the city on foot, you also have the option of horse-drawn carriage, bus, bike, or even river cruise. Consider climbing the Mönchsberg or Kapuzinerberg if you have the energy, to be rewarded with an amazing view over the city as well as the Untersberg and Gaisberg backdrop. There are also sightseeing tours available if you would like to explore the surrounding countryside and nearby towns. Although some people only visit for a long weekend or a few days, there is enough to do in this area to keep you busy for a week or longer.
