When to Visit
Bogota has a Mediterranean climate and the temperature is the same year round. Typical temperatures average around 7 to 20 degrees and rain mostly fall during the months of May, August, September, October and November. The weather does not change much, so your only problem is when can you take time off work and visit beautiful Bogota!
What to Do
Bogota is full of culture and cuisine, so make sure to indulge in a full Colombian experience. Why not check out the spectacular views of Bogota, the Gold or Botero Museum for a day of history, or maybe take a tour up to Monserrate Mountain? Monserrate is most famous for its statue of ‘El Señor Caido’ or The Fallen Saint, which depicts Jesus Christ after being taken off the cross. A unique attraction is the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira; a Roman Catholic Church built underground in the tunnels of a salt mine. Be sure to explore the streets of Bogota and see the beautiful Colombian art displayed, whether it is graffiti or vendors with paintings. Art is a huge part of the Colombia, its intricate designs are native to the culture while adding beautiful colors and personality to the city.

Bandeja Paisa
Colombia’s national dish of rice, beans, chicharron, avocado, arepa, fried egg and other ingredients.
Arepas
This corn-based patty or biscuit, when with the right combination of other ingredients can be a delicious meal. Arepa is an enjoyable staple in Colombia and is a must try!
Ajiaco
A traditional Colombian soup from Bogota, made of chicken, potato, corn, served with avocado and rice.
Pescado Pacifico
Enjoy fresh fish with sides including rice, avocado and fried plantain from any great coastal-style seafood restaurants in the city.
